Main Ingredients
- 1 cup raw almonds soaked overnight
- 4 cups water filtered
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract optional
- 1 tablespoon sweetener optional, like honey or maple syrup
1. Soak the almonds in water overnight or for at least 8 hours.
2. Drain and rinse the almonds.
3. Add the almonds and 4 cups of filtered water to a blender.
4. Blend on high for 2 minutes until the almonds are finely ground and the mixture is creamy.
5. Strain the mixture using a nut milk bag or cheesecloth into a bowl.
6. Squeeze out as much liquid as possible. Discard the almond pulp or save it for another use.
7. If desired, add vanilla extract and sweetener to the milk and blend again.
8. Store the almond milk in a sealed container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Shake well before using.
