Chicken Paprikash Recipe
A classic Hungarian dish with tender chicken in a rich paprika sauce.

Main Ingredients
- 2 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 kg chicken thighs bone-in, skin-on
- 1 large onion chopped
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 2 tablespoon sweet paprika
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup sour cream
- to taste salt and pepper
- 2 tablespoon flour optional, for thickening
Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken thighs and cook until browned on all sides. Remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and cook until softened. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute.
Stir in the paprika and cook for another minute. Add the chicken broth and bring to a simmer.
Return the chicken to the skillet, cover, and simmer for 30 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through.
Stir in the sour cream and flour (if using) and cook for another 5 minutes until the sauce is thickened. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Serve hot over noodles or rice.
