Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 medium green bell pepper, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can tomato sauce (8 oz)
  • ¼ cup green olives, sliced
  • ¼ cup raisins
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions 

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add chopped onion, green bell pepper, and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until vegetables are softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in tomato sauce, green olives, raisins, ground cumin, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a simmer.
  4. Reduce heat to low and let it simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve hot with rice or tortillas.
