Main Ingredients
- 1 cup Rice uncooked
- 1 bunch Fresh parsley chopped
- 1 bunch Fresh mint chopped
- 1 cup Olive oil divided
- 1 large Onion finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Black pepper
- 1 jar Grape leaves rinsed and drained
- 2 cups Water
- 1 large Lemon sliced
1. In a mixing bowl, combine rice, parsley, mint, half of the olive oil, onion, salt, and pepper.
2. Place a grape leaf on a flat surface, shiny side down. Add a spoonful of the rice mixture to the center. Fold in the sides and roll up tightly.
3. Repeat with remaining grape leaves and filling.
4. Place the stuffed grape leaves in a large pot, seam side down. Add water, remaining olive oil, and lemon slices on top.
5. Cover and simmer for 1 hour, until the rice is cooked and the leaves are tender.
