Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2 whole lobsters about 1.5 pounds each
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup dry white wine
  • ¼ cup grated Gruyère cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1 small shallot finely chopped
  • 1 pinch salt to taste
  • 1 pinch black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. 1. Boil the lobsters in a large pot of salted water for about 8 minutes. Remove and let cool.
  2. 2. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  3. 3. Cut the lobsters in half lengthwise and remove the meat. Chop the meat into bite-sized pieces and set aside. Keep the shells.
  4. 4. In a saucepan, melt the butter and sauté the shallot until translucent. Add the flour and cook for 1 minute.
  5. 5. Gradually whisk in the white wine and heavy cream. Cook until the sauce thickens.
  6. 6. Stir in the mustard, Gruyère cheese, salt, and pepper. Add the lobster meat and mix well.
  7. 7. Spoon the mixture back into the lobster shells and place them in a baking dish.
  8. 8. Bake in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
  9. 9. Serve hot and enjoy!
