Main Ingredients
- 2 lbs Oxtails
- 1 large Onion, chopped
- 2 cloves Garlic, minced
- 2 cups Beef broth
- 1 cup Red wine optional
- 2 tablespoon Tomato paste
- 2 tablespoon Flour
- 2 tablespoon Vegetable oil
- to taste Salt and pepper
1. Season oxtails with salt and pepper.
2. Heat oil in a Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Brown the oxtails on all sides.
3. Remove oxtails and set aside. Add onions and garlic to the pot, cooking until softened.
4. Stir in flour and tomato paste, cooking for a couple of minutes.
5. Gradually add beef broth and red wine, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.
6. Return oxtails to the pot. Cover and simmer on low heat for about 3 hours, or until oxtails are tender.
7. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot.
