  2. In a saucepan, combine sugar and milk. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
  3. Boil for 2-3 minutes, then remove from heat.
  4. Stir in peanut butter and vanilla extract until smooth.
  5. Pour mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
  6. Let cool completely before cutting into squares.
