- 1 cup Butter softened
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 2 units Eggs
- 3 cups All-purpose Flour
- 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
- ½ teaspoon Salt
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth.
Beat in the eggs and vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the creamed mixture.
Roll out dough on a floured surface to about ¼ inch thickness. Cut into shapes with cookie cutters.
Place cookies 1 inch apart on ungreased baking sheets.
Bake for 8-10 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Cool on wire racks.
