Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Pork shoulder cut into chunks
  • 1 large Onion diced
  • 4 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon Chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Oregano
  • 1 can Hominy drained and rinsed
  • 4 cups Chicken broth
  • 2 cups Water
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper

Instructions 

  1. 1. Place the pork shoulder chunks in the slow cooker.
  2. 2. Add the diced onion, minced garlic, chili powder, cumin, and oregano.
  3. 3. Pour in the chicken broth and water. Stir to combine.
  4. 4. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or until the pork is tender.
  5. 5. About 30 minutes before serving, add the hominy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. 6. Serve hot, garnished with your favorite toppings like cilantro, lime wedges, and radishes.
