- 2 cups Cornmeal

- 2 cups Boiling Water
- 2 tablespoon Bacon Grease or Butter
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
In a mixing bowl, combine the cornmeal and salt.
Gradually stir in the boiling water until the mixture is smooth.
Heat the bacon grease or butter in a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat.
Pour the cornmeal mixture into the hot skillet and spread it evenly.
Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for about 30 minutes, or until golden brown.
Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.
