tomato sauce

vegetable broth

Instructions
Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
Add the chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes.
Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute.
Stir in the rice, tomato sauce, vegetable broth, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper.
Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and cover. Simmer for 20 minutes, or until the rice is cooked.
Stir in the black beans and cook for another 5 minutes, until heated through.
Fluff the rice with a fork and serve warm.
