- 1 quart Vanilla Ice Cream
- 1 pound Pound Cake sliced
- 4 Egg Whites
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
Instructions
- 1. Preheat oven to 500°F (260°C).
- 2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place slices of pound cake on the sheet.
- 3. Scoop ice cream onto the cake slices and shape into a dome. Freeze for 15 minutes.
- 4. In a mixing bowl, whisk egg whites until soft peaks form. Gradually add sugar and vanilla extract, whisking until stiff peaks form.
- 5. Cover the ice cream and cake with meringue, sealing all edges.
- 6. Bake in the preheated oven for 3-5 minutes, until meringue is golden brown. Serve immediately.
