

Oxtails with Gravy

Ingredients
Main Ingredients
- 2 lbs Oxtails
- 1 large Onion, chopped
- 2 cloves Garlic, minced
- 2 cups Beef broth
- 1 cup Red wine optional
- 2 tablespoon Tomato paste
- 2 tablespoon Flour
- 2 tablespoon Vegetable oil
- to taste Salt and pepper
Instructions
- 1. Season oxtails with salt and pepper.
- 2. Heat oil in a Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Brown the oxtails on all sides.
- 3. Remove oxtails and set aside. Add onions and garlic to the pot, cooking until softened.
- 4. Stir in flour and tomato paste, cooking for a couple of minutes.
- 5. Gradually add beef broth and red wine, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.
- 6. Return oxtails to the pot. Cover and simmer on low heat for about 3 hours, or until oxtails are tender.
- 7. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot.
